Just finished another great harvest for 2021. The weather was superb, so hot we worked mornings and evenings, and had a afternoon siesta. The hot tub has never been so welcome.
We have some hay at £3 per bale, and some better hay at £3.50.
So the better quality hay were the grass fields grazed by sheep, so the grass was greener and younger and leafy when made into hay. The cheaper hay is from the field that wan't grazed and so the hay is more stem, more fibrous.
Definitely no ragwort.
